Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a tension between vulnerability and strength. A palette of warm coral and soft amber represents warmth and openness, while cold slate and blue-black embody strength and depth. The main collision occurs at the center, where static strength contrasts with a pale, vulnerable edge created by negative cross patterns. This conveys the idea of a fragile barrier surrounded by a heavy presence, a reflection on safety amidst exposure.
