Artist Statement
This composition contrasts the palpable tension of longing against the solidifying presence of resolve. I chose a palette that evokes warmth and emptiness: hot coral and blood orange symbolize yearning and intimacy, while charcoal and hollow blue introduce a sense of boundary and firm resolution. The main collision is centrally located, where warm threads of longing intersect with dense channels of resolve. The quiet field of charcoal allows the emotional exchange to resonate while broken pixels offer intentional disruptions, reflecting unresolved feelings. This balance of color and structure mirrors the continuous push and pull of human emotion, creating an abstract narrative of desire supported by boundaries.
