Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional contrast between envy and gratitude, utilizing a palette that reflects tumultuous feelings with deep blacks and sharp reds clashing against pale blue and white. Envy is represented by darker shades, like black and deep reds, gathering pressure towards the edges, while gratitude represents softer tones, epitomizing lightness in the center. The arrangement mimics falling pixels that evoke a sense of emotional rains and overwhelming thoughts, where darker colors echo both weight and noise, while lighter shades offer a moment of respite.
