Artist Statement
This piece explores the duality of calm and rage through an 8x8 grid. The top half features muted tones of blue and white, representing a calm space with broken dots creating a sense of rhythm and gentleness. The bottom half bursts into a chaotic arrangement of reds and blacks, mimicking explosive energy and sharp contrasts that simulate a clash of emotions. By creating visual 'noise,' I evoke the pressure of intense feelings colliding with serene calm, illustrating the delicate balance and tension inherent in emotional experiences.
