Artist Statement
This artwork explores the dichotomy of longing and resolve by using a split diagonal composition. The darker hues of navy and black represent the weight of longing, creating a dense emotional presence, while the lighter dim cyan evokes a sense of clarity and order, representing resolve. The collision occurs at the central diagonal axis, where the two emotional states meet, creating a tension that reflects their relationship. The palette balances between deep, introspective colors and lighter shades, inviting contemplation and reflection within a confined abstract space.
