Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional dichotomy of pressure and quiet through a dense cluster of dark hues in one corner, contrasting with lighter shades that create a sense of spacious calm. The palette was carefully selected to represent the pressure through compressed reds and dark navies while introducing a faint peach and off-white for a softer, spacious area. The collision of the dark and light tones occurs diagonally across the square, emphasizing the tension and the release in a symmetrically disrupted layout. The flow reflects a stutter as the dense area gradually diffuses into quiet as it extends, resonating with the seed's themes of clarity and confusion.
