Artist Statement

This composition embodies the tension between control and surrender through contrasting patterns of density and openness. The palette, based on 'fear_hope', combines black and dark violet to represent containment, with soft gold and pale green introducing an element of release. The dominant dark tones fill the center, creating a feeling of overflow, while softer colors bleed into the corners, suggesting a gradual letting go. The marked presence of broken pixels introduces disruption, reflecting a stuttered flow, while the layout maintains significant negative space to avoid overwhelming the senses, embodying the emotional push and pull described in the seed. The collision of 'echo' and 'constellation' patterns generates a rhythmic oscillation across the square, visually narrating the heart of this tension.
