Artist Statement
This piece represents the emotional struggle between longing and resolve, utilizing a color palette of faded gold, soft sky, pale mint, storm gray, and near black to embody both warmth and depth. The broken pixels introduce an element of imperfection, representing the fractures in our desires and resolutions. The main collision occurs in the center where the ring pattern of resolve in faded gold and storm gray interrupts the fluid rain pattern of longing in pale mint, creating tension and movement. This design reflects the push and pull of emotions, evoking feelings of serenity amidst urgency and reflecting on the dichotomy of longing versus resolution.
