Artist Statement
The emotional tone encapsulates the tension between awe and terror, employing a palette that contrasts vibrant yellows and deep blues to evoke the dichotomy of wonder and fear. The upper half presents a warm, light spectrum signifying awe, while the lower half embodies cooler shades reflecting terror. The placement of brighter colors within structured patterns (frame for awe) competes against a backdrop of chaotic, broken dots (for terror) to create a visual push and pull, mirroring the oscillation between stability and uncertainty. The inclusion of broken pixels adds to the sense of instability, accentuating the theme of broken memory and the fragile balance between these emotions.
