Artist Statement
This abstract piece captures the emotional contrasts of loneliness and connection through a deliberate balance of dark and light elements. The palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green reflects conflicting emotions, with darker shades representing loneliness through large negative spaces and single pixel disruptions. Meanwhile, the bright accents of soft gold and light green suggest connection and hope. The left half of the composition contains dense patterns of dots echoing isolation, while the right exhibits mirrored patterns symbolizing connection. The chosen layout emphasizes the division while allowing emotional interactions between both halves, suggesting a journey from absence to presence through visual resonances and conflicts.
