Artist Statement
This piece conveys the tension between loneliness and connection using a palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green. The dark colors evoke a sense of isolation, while the warm gold introduces an element of hope. The left side, denser with muted tones, represents loneliness, while the right side features fragmented golden pixels to symbolize fleeting connections. The composition is bottom-weighted, emphasizing the emotional heaviness of solitude contrasted against light patches of connection, creating a sense of movement from left to right that reflects a subtle shift from loneliness to fleeting moments of connection.
