Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional clash between 'panic' and 'control'. The chosen palette of deep navy and black establishes a somber, introspective mood, while dim cyan introduces a spark of cold clarity amidst the tumult. The top half reflects control through a structured grid pattern, a conscious attempt at stability, while the checkerboard chaos of the bottom half suggests underlying unrest and disorder. The deliberate placement of broken pixels within the grid hints at moments of disruption, creating an interplay of symmetrical stability challenged by asymmetrical chaos. The contrast happens where the orderly blue intersects with tumultuous black, conveying an unresolved tension. The space reflects both calm and pressure, similar to a conversation teetering between clarity and conflict.
