Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the duality of grief and joy through its contrasting color palette of warm yellows and cool blues. The structure reflects the argument grid layout where one side displays orderly broken dots indicating joy, while the opposite side exhibits radial patterns of muted purples symbolizing grief. The use of broken pixels introduces imperfection, mirroring the inevitable fractures in emotion. The top-to-bottom flow adds a sense of progression from structured joy to collapsing grief, creating an emotional depth and tension across the canvas.
