Artist Statement
The emotional tone of this composition contrasts pressure and quiet. I selected a palette of muted hues accented by deeper colors to create a sense of density (dark_navy, compressed_red) countered by softer tones (off_white, faint_peach). The main collision occurs along the diagonal where the dense stack of colors (reminiscent of pressure) meets the expanse of open space (representing quiet). This visual argument embodies the emotional tension of pushing against stillness, with the right half of the square feeling compressed while the left offers a sense of negative space and calm. Broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions within the patterns, symbolizing the struggle between control and chaos. Overall, the pattern suggests a journey from weight to lightness, echoing the seed's themes of symmetry and breakdown.
