Artist Statement
The emotional tone melds safety and exposure, using a palette of shelter green, warm brown, pale skin, cold white, and open blue. The warm brown and shelter green create a dense center evoking shelter, contrasted by the cold white and pale skin hues, hinting at exposure. This split vertical arrangement allows a sense of pressure inside with soft edges that appear to shield, while leaving space for 'echoing' interactions. The use of slightly broken pixels adds an organic imperfection, enhancing the feeling of shelter amidst exposure.
