Artist Statement
The emotional tone captures the struggle between vitality and decay. The selected palette of warm clay and distant lilac creates a contrast between the warmth of the spark and the coolness of ash. A dominant presence of ash (gray tones) at the edges with bursts of lamp gold in the center creates a vivid collision, representing resilience amid fragility. The negative space along the diagonal path illustrates restraint amidst pressure, evoking a sense of memory versus erasure through the interaction of colors.
