Artist Statement
This abstract piece explores the emotional conflict between loneliness and connection. The color palette, featuring deep blacks and dark violets alongside soft golds and pale greens, captures a tension between dark isolation and fleeting warmth. The arrangement of colors emphasizes negative space, creating a sense of emptiness, while the off-center placement of lighter pixels represents an attempt to forge connection. The collision between the heavier, darker shades and the bright, soft accents symbolizes the struggle between feeling weighted down by solitary memories and the yearning for interaction. The random placement of broken pixels adds an element of imperfection, enhancing the theme of fragmented memories.
