Artist Statement
The emotional tone oscillates between vulnerability and strength, represented through fragmented patterns and contrasting colors. The muted cream provides a 'quiet field' against the bold blackened plum and red oxide, which signify rooted strength yet reveal cracks of vulnerability. The palette evokes a sense of tension and interplay between the central area, where muted colors collide, and the edges that are darker and richer. The layout of strength (static elements) holds the center together, while vulnerability (cracked components) disrupts it from the edges, embodying a threshold as suggested by the seed.
