Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional contrast between softness and severity through the juxtaposition of delicate powder pinks with stark carbon blacks. The design features a central cluster of warm whites and soft pinks, resembling an island amidst a sea of darker shades, creating a weighty, bottom-heavy effect. The tension between the stark black and gentle pink embodies the themes of guilt and forgiveness, as well as the signal versus noise dichotomy. The structured yet imperfect arrangement, with broken pixels, evokes a rhythmic pulse that resonates with the spiral counter-clockwise movement suggested by the seed.
