Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional dichotomy of fear and hope by depicting a stark contrast between dark, oppressive colors on the left and the warmth of lighter hues on the right. The jagged edges signify the sharpness of fear, while the softer tones suggest a sense of hope. The arrangement features an inner area of darker colors mimicking pressure (rain patterns) that encroaches upon a lighter, reflective environment, representing small but potent glimmers of optimism. This contrast highlights emotional tension, where fear tries to overshadow the hopeful elements. The 'zigzag' flow echoes the unpredictability of these feelings, while broken pixels introduce a layer of imperfection, enhancing the impression of vulnerability.
