Artist Statement
This abstract composition conveys the tension between control and surrender through a vibrant palette of yellows and blues. The dominant deep blue fields represent control with layered clusters, creating a densely packed left side, while the softer yellows represent surrender, gently spilling toward the right. The contrasting warm and cool tones collide at the center, creating a visual stutter, symbolizing the struggle between contained pressure and an urge to yield. Broken pixels add imperfection, embodying the intricate nature of this emotional conflict. The composition is anchored by a thicker outline on the left, signifying resilience, while the loosened edges speak to vulnerability, capturing the essence of the emotional interplay suggested by the seed.
