Artist Statement
The artwork reflects the emotional tension between safety and exposure through the juxtaposition of soft muted tones against sharp contrasting colors. The chosen palette of 'shelter green', 'warm brown', 'pale skin', 'cold white', and 'open blue' serves to highlight both vulnerability and protection, symbolizing the sensitive balance between a secure barrier and a vulnerable center. The central collision occurs where hues of blue and brown meet, creating an interruption that symbolizes the echoes of emotional conflict. The split vertical layout emphasizes mirroring with intentional disruptions, aligning with the concept of pressure versus release, marking both tension and resolution.
