Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the duality of trust and suspicion, employing a contrasting palette of deep blue and pale yellow to represent two emotional states. The deep tones imply instability while the lighter hues suggest warmth and safety. There’s a clear diagonal flow where trust surges up from the bottom left, creating a sense of resilience against a shadowed right side representing suspicion. The stepwell and ladder motifs visually collide in the center, embodying both tension and evolution. Broken pixels add intentional irregularities, enhancing the theme of fractured trust. The balance is disrupted enough to evoke questions, resonating with the emotional seed.
