Artist Statement
This artwork represents the conflict between restlessness and peace, utilizing a palette that embodies guilt and forgiveness. The deep wines contrast sharply against the soft golds, with ash gray invoking quietude while stain brown adds tension. The main collision occurs towards the upper corner, where the warm ivory and deep wine disrupt the gray veil, suggesting a chaotic memory against serene motion. The flame metaphor reappears in bursts of color, suggesting the flicker of memories that disrupt peace, creating an unbalanced yet harmonious tension throughout.
