Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies a clash between softness and severity, represented through a palette that juxtaposes powder pink and warm white against sharper contrasts of carbon black and steel gray. The collision occurs at the center, where the ripple pattern of softness meets the barcode of severity, creating visual tension. This interaction symbolizes the heartbeat of memory versus the forward thrust of potentiality, with small disruptions (broken pixels) echoing the imperfection of memory. The lighter colors set the mood of forgiveness, while the darker shades evoke a sense of severity, making the overall composition a dynamic dialogue between these emotional states.
