Artist Statement
The emotional tone of this piece juxtaposes restlessness and peace through the use of a contrasting palette of cool and warm colors. The colors like carbon black and sharp crimson represent tension while the soft powder pink and warm white introduce an element of tranquility. The layout features a broken frame that allows hints of the warm colors to leak through the edges, symbolizing a struggle for peace amidst anxiety.
