Artist Statement
This piece embodies the tension between longing and resolve through an interplay of muted and vibrant colors. The chosen palette of deep maroon (representing resolve), pink (expressing longing), and gray (as a quiet space) allows for emotional resonance. Predominantly gray tones create a backdrop that feels expansive yet contained, while sporadic pink and dark maroon accents emerge like memories or pulses, symbolizing the collision of feeling. The broken pixels function as intentional disruptions, representing the imperfect nature of human emotion amid order, while the dominant pattern shifts between fluidity and structure, echoing the themes of the seed.
