Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension between defiance and submission through a contrasting palette dominated by deep blue and mourning black, symbolizing strength and quiet surrender respectively. The introduction of pale yellow as an accent color creates pivotal interruptions against the darker tones, akin to pulses in a grey landscape.
