Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional dichotomy of loneliness and connection. The palette, drawn from dark violet and soft gold against stark black and pale green, juxtaposes feelings of pressure with mere echoes of hope. Darker colors swirl around lighter tones, creating a sense of tightness and release. The contrast intensifies where the darker colors clash against the brighter accents, framing a space that suggests both isolation and warmth. The chosen layout emphasizes an asymmetric spread, guiding the eye diagonally and instilling a sense of movement amidst tension—a dialogue reflected in the composition's flow and negative space, which grants the viewer breathing room against the dense interplay of color.
