Artist Statement
This artwork explores the duality of loneliness and connection through a stark contrast between dense clusters of dark colors and the minimal presence of lighter shades. The palette, featuring navy and dim cyan, evokes a feeling of solitude, while white represents fleeting moments of connection. The composition’s asymmetry emphasizes the emotional struggle, with the dense lower half (representing loneliness) contrasting with a sporadically brighter upper half (representing connection), reflecting the push and pull of these emotions. The strategic placement of broken pixels introduces an imperfect, organic quality, embodying the theme of broken memories.
