Artist Statement
The emotional tone conveys a dynamic push and pull between control (represented by structured patterns) and surrender (expressed through fragmented space). The chosen palette of powder pink, warm white, carbon black, steel gray, and sharp crimson sharply contrasts the contained control with softer, flowing surrender. The main collision occurs in the center, where the darker hues of black and gray interact with vibrant accents of pink and crimson, suggesting an overflowing energy fighting against the boundaries, while cracks of white signify moments of release. This reflects the struggle inherent in the theme, creating a visual metaphor for pressure versus freedom.
