Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a duality between vulnerability and strength, illustrated through deliberate contrasts in color and texture. A palette emphasizing muted purples and deep blues suggests introspection and depth, while yellows and oranges introduce moments of resilience and brightness. The center of the composition presents an exposed, pale core, surrounded by a structured grid that embodies strength, creating a tension akin to waves crashing against a shore—this collision is strongest around the center and edges. The broken pixels intentionally disrupt the composition, adding layers of imperfection that evoke both vulnerability and the resilience found in overcoming adversity.
