Artist Statement
The emotional tone navigates the tension between control and surrender, represented by a structured, dense assembly of colors in the center that gradually loosens into muted regions. The palette employs contrasting dark maroon and gray tones with bursts of pink and red to evoke feelings of intensity morphing into calm. The dominant control meets surrender near the center, while shadows of the darker tones fade towards the edges, suggesting a release into open space. This reflects the notion of pressure escaping a contained area, turning into a gentle ebb.
