Artist Statement
The emotional tone focuses on the tension between defiance and submission. The palette consists of navy, black, and dim cyan to create a cool, isolated atmosphere, contrasting deep, dark shades with hints of brighter tones that symbolize emotional release. The central contrast occurs in the 4x4 core of lighter shades against the darker border, where the pulse of colors suggests a rhythm of pressure building and then breaking.
