Artist Statement
This composition explores the tension between loneliness and connection through an asymmetrical arrangement. A concentrated palette of red, pink, gray, and dark maroon represents varying emotional states—warmth, betrayal, and isolation. The dominant colors provide intense contrast against a backdrop of negative space, highlighting echoes of feelings in the 'corner invasion' layout. The use of broken pixels introduces imperfection, suggesting memories that linger yet feel distant. The pattern flows dripped with sparks of connection amidst an otherwise hollow canvas, echoing the seed's themes of weight and lightness across the 8x8 grid.
