Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional struggle of fear versus hope. The left side is dominated by dark hues (#000000, #4B0082, #393E46), reflecting fear with jagged patterns that create a sense of pressure. The right side shifts towards hopeful colors (#FFD700, #B2E0A6, #F4F4F4), employing a maze-like pattern that implies movement upward and lightness. The vertical split enhances the juxtaposition, creating a stark collision between the dense dark areas and the airy soft gold and pale green. Broken pixels feature throughout to convey imperfection in both emotions, reflecting the chaotic nature of this duality.
