Artist Statement
The composition reflects a duality of emotion, contrasting envy and gratitude through a palette of yellow, orange, deep blue, and muted purple. The warm tones symbolize gratitude (yellow and orange), while the cooler, darker tones signify envy (deep blue and purple). The edges feature a thick outline to create a feeling of containment, resonating with both softness and pressure. The layout is almost a mirror, with intentional disruptions that symbolize the chaos of emotion – delicate 'cracks' versus dense 'pressure' echoing the tensions described in the seed. The collisions of color and patterns evoke a sense of rising hope against the pull of fear, creating a delicate balance of visual noise and clarity.
