Artist Statement
This composition captures the tension between clarity and interference, embodying the emotional landscape of 'signal vs noise'. The selected palette merges muted tones with vivid accents to represent the clash between static and coherence. The center of the grid is densely populated with the signal green and electric blue, creating a strong focal point. These colors flow outward, intersecting with dynamic shades of hot magenta which serve as interruptions, breaking the rhythm and introducing randomness, much like noise disrupts a clear signal. The intentional placement of broken pixels embodies memories fading into static, while the overall structure creates a sense of containment and struggle, with the quiet spaces allowing the color to breathe and resonate. The collisions occur at the center and edges, with vibrant exchanges demonstrating emotional conflict, reflecting the complex relationship described in the seed.
