Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional tension between softness and severity. The chosen palette of muted carbon black, steel gray, and sharp crimson showcases the gravity of severity against gentle powder pink and warm white, creating a lively yet contemplative rhythm. The collision occurs mainly in the center where the bright accents of crimson pulse through the darks, suggesting moments of clarity within static noise. The abstract arrangements of higher density at the center and the lighter edges reflect the theme of emotional contrast—the push and pull of intensity against calm. Each block’s placement echoes the 'pressure block' concept, with defined shapes and imperfection, maintaining a readable structure in the chaos.
