Artist Statement
This piece embodies the tension between restlessness and peace through its color contrasts and placements. The palette of sepia, tan, dust gray, and faded blue creates a sense of nostalgia and quiet, while the 'broken dots' pattern reflects the chaotic push of restlessness. The central collision of darker hues against the lighter fields serves as a visual echo of emotional conflict, capturing the ongoing pull between calm and anxiety, guided by a dynamic diagonal flow. Intentionally placed broken pixels enhance this tension, symbolizing imperfections in both memory and motion.
