Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the struggle between nostalgia (soft, lingering colors) and progress (vibrant, sharp colors), creating a visual tension. The palette transitions from deep blacks to electric blues and magentas, signifying dark memories colliding with bright aspirations. The pattern flows in a zigzag motion, emphasizing upward movement on one side against a downward pull on the other, depicting conflict and resolution through color placement. Broken pixels are sprinkled throughout to evoke imperfection and the complexities of emotional experiences.
