Artist Statement
This piece conveys the emotional duality of trust and suspicion, where bright warm tones clash against muted cool shades. The left side employs a staircase pattern using warm yellows and oranges to indicate trust's steady progression, while the right side applies a checker pattern in deep blues and muted purples to embody suspicion's sporadic interruptions. The contrast between the structured left side and the chaotic right creates a visual tension that echoes the emotional theme of the seed, illustrating the delicate balance between release and pressure. Broken pixels were applied to introduce an imperfection and to enhance the notion of collision, while negative space aids in suggesting quiet moments amidst increasing emotional intensity.
