Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension between 'spark' and 'ash' through a blend of vibrant and muted colors. The palette uses 'signal green' and 'hot magenta' to represent quick bursts and scattered light against the subtle, settled tones of 'static gray' and 'dead black.' The central disruption creates a jagged edge that symbolizes the collision of memory and erasure, while maintaining an overall flow of diagonal rise that suggests movement towards resilience. The negative space is intentionally preserved to evoke a sense of calm amidst pressure.
