Artist Statement

This artwork captures the emotional dichotomy of control versus surrender through contrasting color fields and patterns. The palette includes pale aqua and mist gray, conveying serenity, punctuated by alarm red and ink blue, which introduce a sense of urgency. The focus of the composition centers around the clash between the dense, heavy colors on one side and lighter, more yielding colors on the other, suggesting an overflow against containment. The arrangement emphasizes an outward spiral flow, evoking feelings of either pressure building or gently dissipating, embodying the struggle between holding on and letting go. Broken pixels are purposefully scattered to symbolize the imperfections inherent in this tension, leading to resonant echoes of uncertainty and fragility.
