Artist Statement
This piece contrasts the emotions of longing and resolve through a palette that evokes warmth and depth. The 'mourning_renewal' palette features deep blues and muted yellows alongside the solid grounding of black that reflects the intertwined feelings of yearning and steadfastness. The main collision occurs in the center of the grid, where warmer hues from the longing palette interact with darker tones representing resolve. Broken pixels are intentionally scattered to illustrate the imperfection of memories and the complexity of emotions, creating a sense of tension that draws the viewer's eye. The layout suggested by the 'empty_room' concept allows for spaciousness, where the dominant color clusters evoke a feeling of serenity interrupted by bursts of warmth and disjointed connections, echoing the theme of unresolved emotions.
