Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional dichotomy of pressure and quietude. The left side, dominated by dark navy and compressed red, mirrors weighted borders and compressed density, while the right side introduces muted tones of dust gray and faint peach, creating an expansive, soft horizon. The artistic intent reflects a collision between the emotional weights through a split vertical layout. The edge style of burned edges enhances the sense of interruption and chaos within the dense, hard patterns of echo, contrasting the soft ember-like patterns on the right. The central tension lies within the transition across the middle rows where hard and soft colors collide, producing a visual narrative of conflict and resolution.
