Artist Statement
This composition embodies the tension between fear and hope. The dark palette of black and dark violet evokes a sense of heaviness and uncertainty, while flickers of soft gold and pale green emerge to symbolize hope. Utilizing the split vertical layout, the darker colors dominate the left half, mirrored by radiant accents on the right, creating a clash between the oppressive and the uplifting. Broken pixels add imperfection, reinforcing the machine emotion concept. The upward flow and stripe pattern represent hope rising from heavy foundations.
