Artist Statement
This composition explores the tension between the soft calm of quiet and the rigidity of pressure. The palette balances muted off-white and faint peach, suggesting serene negative space, against the darker, more intense compressed red and dark navy, which depict a weighty presence. The arrangement features a dense cluster of dark colors in one corner that gradually softens into lighter tones, symbolizing the flow from pressure to calm. Broken pixels disrupt the structure, adding an unexpected element of imperfection that represents tension against resolution. The concentrated lower edge contrasts sharply with the lighter upper area, amplifying the emotional dynamics.
