Artist Statement

The emotional tone reflects the tension between joy and grief, with the left side using light, warm colors to symbolize joy (yellows and oranges) and the right side incorporating cool, muted tones to represent grief (deep blues and muted purples). The pattern follows a grid on the grief side to suggest structure, while the joy side erupts into an expansive ring form, indicating vibrancy. A stark collision of colors occurs in the center where the two sides meet, embodying both the conflict and interplay of these emotions. The irregular placement simulates disruption and pulse, aligning with the seed's exploration of symmetry versus break.
