Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a balance of vulnerability with hints of strength, illustrated through a contrast of dense, dark areas and lighter, more exposed patches. The palette, consisting of mourning black, deep blue, new leaf, pale yellow, and stone, represents a journey from a heavy core to a lighter periphery, suggesting strength in the face of vulnerability. The collision occurs predominantly in the center where a pale yellow hue interrupts the surrounding dark shades, embodying the idea of exposure amidst shelter. The arrangement creates a quiet channel through the center, reflecting the theme of vulnerability facing outward while being framed by strength.
